Cowperthwaite Roof Restorations recently completed a full restoration of a Monier shingle roof in Glendowie, transforming a weathered roof into a vibrant and protective asset. This project involved completely restoring a Monier concrete shingle roof in Glendowie. Our comprehensive restoration process included:

1. Moss Treatment: We applied a specialized moss treatment to eliminate existing growth on the tile surface, preparing the roof for cleaning and restoration.
2. Pressure Cleaning: We carefully pressure cleaned the roof to remove dirt, debris, and remaining moss residue, revealing the true condition of the tiles.
3. Tile Replacement and Repointing: We replaced all broken tiles with matching Monier shingles and repointed all mortar work using Pointworks, ensuring a weathertight and structurally sound roof.
4. Protective Coating Application: We applied three coats of Aalto Procoat, beginning with a sealer coat followed by two coats of a satin finish in the color “Slate,” providing long-lasting protection and enhancing the roof’s aesthetic appeal.
